GDSNL Handicap Tournament 2026

🏁
LAST 16
Roxton Pharmacy v FJC Redline Netball -
With 8 goals to catch, and a Tournament FJC Redline Netball love, determination set the pace. First half saw them score 5 goals, but Roxton were as determined to progress and netted goals to keep their advantage. 2nd Half, Roxton tightened their defence keeping FJC Redline Netball at bay to take the win by a close margin
PP&CC Louth v Great Coates Motors -
Great Coates Motors had a 15 goal deficit and started strongly, but PP&CC also were flowing and managed to keep Great Coates from creating opportunities to catch up. The 2nd half saw evenly matched Teams both scoring 3 goals. PP&CC had reached the Quarter FinalsBetty McKenzie v Grimsby Ladies Matrix - Betty's had 16 goals to catch up, and this was no mean feat as Matrix were at the top of their game. 1st half was even, with both Teams scoring 4, the 2nd half, once again was so evenly matched, that Betty's could not gain any advantage, and Matrix joined the Quarter Finalists
Lincs Lightening v Cleethorpes Trin - Lincs Lightening had a huge ask on catch-up and having already played Trin in the group rounds, and unable to claim the win, they knew they had to play their very best game. With determination and Team Work, Lightening got into their flow quickly and first half saw them close the deficit by 15. 2nd half, they had to work even harder, and it paid off, taking them onto the next round
Queens of Cag Development v Camelot Cars - Camelot started with a 14 goal difference, so catch up was the game for them. Strong Teamwork meant that they were on track, but not to be outdone, Queens, in both halves, consistently scored to be the victors.
GNC Warriors v Bring Cargo - It was Bring that were chasing goals, with 18 to catch. Warriors played solidly, without panic, and added to their score. Even though Bring scored 9&8 in the halves, it was not enough to claim the match, and Warriors moved on in the Tournament
Lovelle VPI v Retreat Lodges - With 14 goals to chase, Lovelle's started their campaign. Their play was flowing in both halves, scoring 9 in each, but with Retreat also scoring to add to their handicap, time ran out for Lovelle and Retreat progressed onto the next round

GNC Stars v The Signal Box Inn - The game began with Stars playing catchup to a tune of 23 goals.
They were not fazed, and strongly started scoring goals. The Signal Box Inn held their fight, defending well and adding to their goal count. Signal Box moved on to the QF

QUARTER FINALS
Roxton Pharmacy v PP&CC Louth - With only 3 goals handicap difference, both Teams fought for their place in the Semi Finals. Roxton were the stronger in the 1st half, but started the 2nd half 2 goals behind. PP&CC knew that they had to find something to prevent Roxton from taking the match, and this they did by doubling the goals they sunk in the 1st half. Onto the Semi's for PP&CC Louth
Grimsby Ladies Matrix v Lincs Lightening - Once again Lincs Lightening found themselves playing a Team from their Group Stages, and knew that they needed to play their socks off to close the 26 goal difference for the win. Matrix would not surrender, and with tight defending, stopped Lightening's play from flowing. Although extremely sharp, Lightening's defence could not counteract the determined play of keeping them at bay from Matrix

Queens of Cag Development v GNC Warriors - With Warriors having to close down 8 goals, this promised to be a close call. Queens were not fazed and matched Warriors on play in both halves. Queens took the first half (in real goals) 5-4, and Warriors the 2nd half 5-4. Even though the both Teams scored the same amount of goals, it was Queens who had the better Handicap so claimed their place in the Semi-Finals

Retreat Lodges v The Signal Box Inn - The 1st half saw an even play, with Retreat scoring 2 more goals than Signal Box. Retreat fought to close the handicap in the 2nd half, doubling their 1st half tally, but it was not enough to catch Signal Box, who also continued to make goals count.

SEMI FINALS
PP&CC Louth v Grimsby Ladies Matrix - It was Matrix that had goal deficit of 8 on this match. The 1st half saw them net 5, closing the score to 5 goals. 2nd half PP&CC found flow, and managed to score 5 goals, which meant that Matrix's 7 could not eliminate them.

Queens of Cag Development v The Signal Box Inn - With 10 goals difference, Queens were keen to chase these down. 1st half was even, both Teams scoring 3 goals. 2nd half saw Queens try to pull away, but Signal Box were "Steady Eddie" making goals count and stopped Queen's Handicap Tournament Campaign

FINAL
PP&CC Louth v The Signal Box Inn
There were 6 goals between the Finalists in Signal Box's favour. PP&CC closed down the deficit, and shooting/defending well took the final whistle WINNERS 49-44.
